BASIC FEATURES

Keep Your Phone Number :
Now you don't have to lose your home phone number when you switch to UniBells!

UniBells offers you the option of keeping your phone number across the country. When you sign up you will have the option of either choosing a new phone number or transferring your current phone number to UniBells.

If you choose to transfer your number you'll be asked to enter your current number to start the process. You will then be asked to choose a temporary number until the porting of your number is complete. Once you complete your order you will receive an email with further instructions to ensure that the porting of your number goes as quickly as possible.

Transferring Your Number Can Be Seamless.

It can take between 15 and 45 days to transfer your phone number from your existing carrier to UniBells.  Luckily the switch over from your old to your new number can be seamless.  When you receive your UniBells phone adapter you can optionally plug your existing phone line into the LINE port on the side of the adapter.  During this time any calls to your old number will still ring your UniBells and any outgoing calls will be made through the UniBells network.   Once the transfer is complete your old phone number will now be coming through the UniBells network and you can cancel your old service completely.  Of course we will notify you when your number is successfully ported over to UniBells.

What if I have DSL?

If you have DSL your current telephone company may require you to keep your phone number to maintain a high-speed connection to UniBells.  In this case, we suggest either transferring your DSL service to another phone line with your current carrier, or you can switch to Cable Internet instead of DSL.    UniBells works either way!
